Rs 23,295-crore investment under execution: CRDA

While Rs 14,239 crore has been allocated for Trunk Infra, which is under execution, works worth Rs 3,293 crore are in the pre-tender stage.

Vijayawada: Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has stated that it will be able to execute around 49 per cent of the Rs 49,000 crore worth Capex investment. In its report submitted at the Collectors’ conference, the CRDA had stated that Rs 23,295 crore investment is under execution and Rs 24,821 crore investment is under the pre-tender process. Since 49 per cent of the Capex investment is already under execution, CRDA is hopeful of completing the assigned tasks within the time frame.

While Rs 14,239 crore has been allocated for Trunk Infra, which is under execution, works worth Rs 3,293 crore are in the pre-tender stage.

Works worth Rs 1,375 crore are under execution in the EHV Re-routing discipline. While works worth Rs 4,604 crore are under execution in LPS Infra discipline, Rs 11,005 crore worth works are under pre-tender stage. Works worth Rs 3,075 crore are under execution for government complexes, and Rs 9,166 crore works here are in pre-tender stage.

When it comes to detailing of works, the CRDA had stated that 260 kms out of 450 kms of roads and utilities, which will provide trunk connectivity, are under construction. Utilities include water and waste water ducts, power and ICT ducts. A water treatment plant is also under construction. Designs for flood management works have been finalised and are in the tender process. All put together, Rs 13,052 crore of planned '18,907 crore worth works are under execution.

Related to four package works meant for MLAs, MLCs and All-India Service Officers’ Housing Apartments, the CRDA has stated rapid construction activity is progressing.

Over 3,840 units of housing apartments come in the four packages which includes housing for NGOs and other employees also. Detailed Project Reports for infrastructure works worth Rs 48,000 crore have been already prepared.

Concept designs for Assembly, High Court and Secretariat are also finalised, as per the CRDA report submitted to the State Government, during the recently held Collectors’ conference. While 60,115 plots have been allotted back to farmers, in 24 villages, the CRDA has notified a Master plan for 53,000 acres.
