The Adivasis will launch non-cooperation with Lambada government staff in old Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam districts from June 1, and will raise black flags on Telangana Formation Day on June 2.
Adilabad: Adivasi students did not allow the Lambada teachers to attend the Telangana Formation Day celebration observed in government schools at various places in the old Adilabad district as Lambada teachers retur-ned without participating in the celebrations on Saturday. Adivasis staged protest rallies in villages and towns in the old Adilabad district.
Adivasis gathered at the Indravelli martyrs memorial and raised black flags and staged protest wearing black badges against the state government’s indifferent attitude towards the Adivasis demanding the removal of the Lambadas from the STs list.
