Hyderabad: Girl ends life after row over phone
Hyderabad: A 17-year-old girl set herself on fire and committed suicide when her brother asked her not to use the mobile phone. The incident happened on Friday in an area coming under Chandrayangutta police station. Police said Amreen Khatun, had stopped education after Class VII and was staying at her home in Chandrayangutta.
“It was a petty issue with her brother, Afroze, 22, a student. He had asked her to stop using the mobile phone and that made her take the extreme step,” said sub inspector Krishnaiah of Chandrayangutta.
“She went to a side room and set herself on fire and died,” added the sub inspector.
