Vijayawada: Summer badminton coaching camp for boys and girls was inaugurated at the DRMC indoor stadium here on Thursday.
Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC), director of sports (in-charge) A. Shekar inaugurated the camp, being held under the joint aegis of VMC and Krishna District Badminton Association.
Staff coach K. Bhaskar said that over 72 interested people, aged below 12 years, had registered themselves for the coaching camp.
About 10 coaches and senior players will guide them in the camp to be held from 9 am to 10.30 am every day. Four badminton courts were arranged for the coaching and the camp will conclude on May 31. KDBA secretary T. Trimurthi, vice president Lakshmi Nayana were present.
