K T Rama Rao responsible for student deaths: Jeevan Reddy
Jagtial: It is the TRS (Telanana Rashtra Samiti), working president. K. T. Rama Rao who recommended Globerana Company Pvt. Ltd. to the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) and is responsible for the death of 24 Intermediate students, alleged the Congress party senior leader and MLC, T. Jeevan Reddy.
Speaking at a meeting held with the Urban and Rural unit of the Congress party in Jagtial, Mr Jeevan Reddy came down heavily on the TRS.
He said that the TRS and the government would face the consequences of the suicides of 24 intermediate students following the Intermediate results goof-up. It is a surprise to hear Mr Rama Rao saying that he did not have any knowledge about Globerana which belongs to one of his close associates. “He is the main person who recommended the company to the Inter board,” he added.
Even after three months, elected sarpanchs did not have powers to sign cheques. “Sanitary workers are facing a lot of hardships as they have not received salaries since a few months. Is this the way the TRS is going to achieve Bangaru Telangana?” he questioned.
He said that the TRS cannot solve all farmers issues by just introducing a scheme in the name of Rythu Bandu. The government must provide MSP for their produce to bail them out of their problems, he added.
Mr Jeevan said that the TRS was conducting the parishad polls early sensing that they would lose if they go for the elections after the results of Parliament elections were out.
“The ZPTC and MPTC elections will be an eye opener for the TRS. The Congress is going to sweep the elections. The people are ready to teach a befitting lesson to the TRS in the ensuing Parishad polls,” he said.
