Hyderabad: Due to strong winds across the city, an advertisement flex banner fell on Hyderabad Metro electricity wires causing disruption of services for more than 30 minutes on Wednesday.
Commuters from Ameerpet to Nagole were left stranded at the respective Metros, following this snag that took place at Begumpet station. “Officials have been citing a delay of 10 minutes without giving any reason.
It would be better if Metro officials provided the exact time of delay, so we can plan our trip accordingly,” she complained. Meanwhile, the officials at the station were seen making announcements of the unanticipated delay.
L&T Metro in its statement on social media said, “We regret inconvenience caused due to disruption of services from Nagole to Ameerpet, from 1653-1719 hours due to falling of Advertisement flex on OHE (Over Head Electricity wire), due to high wind.
Normal services have resumed from 1720 hours. We thank commuters for their understanding.”
