Cash laden car: FIR against JD(S) candidate

Bengaluru: The Hosakote police have registered an FIR against JD (S) candidate N. Narayanaswamy, after confirming that the car seized on Monday, which had unaccounted cash, belonged to him. The election commission officials and Hosakote police seized the car, which had unaccounted cash of Rs 64 lakh, as it was parked in an apartment in Nisarga Layout in Hosakote. After verifying vehicle documents police registered an FIR against Narayanaswamy, who is contesting from Devanahalli assembly constituency. Police had detained the driver, Harish, for questioning. After he failed to explain the source of unaccounted cash, it named Narayanaswamy and others as the accused. Hosakote police have registered a case and begun investigation.
