Wall of heroes' in 1,000 colleges to inspire youths

“We cannot teach patriotism. It is already there; there is a need for awakening. They should be remembered daily,†he said.

New Delhi: Union minister of Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday condemned the barbaric act of mutilation of bodies of Indian soldiers and said necessary response will be given to Pakistan for the dastardly act. Javadekar also lauded the role of the Army and their sacrifices.

Speaking at the launch of Vidya Veerta Abhiyan, under which about 1,000 colleges and universities in the country will have a ‘Wall of Heroes’ displaying the pictures of the 21 brave soldiers decorated with the Param Vir Chakra (PVC), he said the event was organised to inculcate the feeling of patriotism among students in colleges and universities.

“We cannot teach patriotism. It is already there; there is a need for awakening. They should be remembered daily,” he said.
