Two found dumping illegal waste near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

The tractor driver and the cleaner who were dumping the waste fled while police was about to nab them.

Hyderabad: While patrolling near the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police found two persons dumping illegal waste on the site of a housing project in Shamshabad. The tractor driver and the cleaner who were dumping the waste fled while police was about to nab them.

RGIA police immediately alerted the Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) and asked them to collect samples of the waste and conduct tests. Police they will reveal more information on Wednesday. Attempts are on to arrest the duo.

RGI Airport inspector M. Mahesh said, “Around 3:30 am when we were patrolling in Shamshabad we saw two persons dumping waste on the site of a housing project in Shamshabad. We tried to catch them but they fled. But we seized the tractor and send samples to the Telangana Pollution Control Board.”
