Soyam Bapurao pattas for the Podu lands

He criticised the TRS government for snatching away their lands in the name of Haritha Haram.

KUMARAMBHEEM ASIFABAD: Thudum Debba state president and BJP candidate Mr Soyam Bapurao on Tuesday promised Adivasis and non- tribals, pattas for the Podu lands being cultivated by the Adivasis and non-tribals if he was voted to power.

Mr Soyam Bapurao was speaking at a public meeting organised in Bejjur by the Adivasi Sanghala JAC. Soyam Bapurao campaigned in Bodapalli, Ityala in Dahegoan mandal and few villages in Bejjur mandal.

Pattas to Podu lands is not only Adivasis’ problem but also non-tribals for a long time, said Soyam Bapurao and added that he would raise the problem in the Parliament. He also promised to improve road connectivity in the Dahegoan, Bejjur and Penchikalpet mandals and to ensure water to the irrigation with constructing new projects.

He criticised the TRS government for snatching away their lands in the name of Haritha Haram and other development programmes instead of issuing pattas under Forest Rights Act.
