KT Rama Rao cancels district tours, to focus on 3 seats in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Annoyed with the LB Stadium episode, TRS working President K.T. Rama Rao has decided to concentrate on Chevella, Secunderabad and Malkajgiri Lok Sabha Constituencies by skipping district tours.
Earlier, Mr Rama Rao had issued his tour schedule for these three constituencies as well as for the districts.
Mr Rama Rao has taken a serious view of the cancellation of the public meeting at KB Stadium on March 29. He issued a warning to GHMC Corporators and party leaders in city, saying that if the majority was reduced in the Lok Sabha elections, as compared to the performance in the recent Assembly elections, he would not allow the corporators to meet him. TRS wants to win 16 Lok Sabha seats out of 17 in the state.
Mr Rama Rao had taken the responsibility of the three city-based Lok Sabha constituencies. He had counted on city leaders and Corporators to win in these three constituencies. But their reasons, which are still not clear, disappointed him in conducting the public meeting at LB stadium. Keeping this in view, he reportedly has taken the decision to cancel his district tours and to concentrate completely on these three constituencies.
