RK Roja urges collector PS Pradyumna to help Muni Koti's family

Later Ms Roja complained to the collector that the sanctioning of houses and pensions were being done only for the TD leaders, but not for the poor.

TIRUPATI: YSRC legislator R.K. Roja met Chittoor district collector P.S. Prady-umna at the sub-collector’s office in Tirupati on Monday and urged him to help the family of Muni Koti, who sacrificed his life in the demand for the Special Category Status, in 2015.

Ms Roja said the then minister Bojjala Gopa-lkrishna Reddy had ann-ounced on behalf of the government, an ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh and a house for Muni Koti’s family, but it had still not been sanctioned after two-and-a-half years. She alleged that the government had failed in helping Muni Koti’s family, whereas Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy helped them by donating Rs 3 lakh and Mr Pawan Kalyan too had given some amount.

Later Ms Roja complained to the collector that the sanctioning of houses and pensions were being done only for the TD leaders, but not for the poor. She alleged that the pensions which were sanctioned to widows were being issued to other women too, while the real poor were not enjoying the fruits of the schemes.
Speaking to media persons, Ms Roja slammed the TD over the SCS. She said,

“The TD MPs are playing dramas in Parliament. Like the YSRC MPs, the Telugu Desam MPs too should submit their resignations. If th-ere is no value to the st-atements that they make in Parliament, then what is the use of being a parliamentarian?”

She added, “TD chief Chandrababu Naidu has come forward with a No-Confidence Motion, after witnessing the popularity of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy. While our MPs are about to go on an indefinite strike, the TD MPs were not even ready to resign. This is such a shame on the TD.”
