Dr Moni Abraham takes charge as Cochin Cancer Research Centre director

Kochi: Dr Moni Abraham Kuriakose, former professor and director of department of surgical oncology and chief of head and neck oncology services at Mazumdar-Shaw Medical Center of Narayana Hrudayalaya Health City, Bangalore, on Monday joined as the first director of Cochin Cancer Research Centre. He was issued the appointment order in November 2017. Special Officer of CCRC and district collector K. Mohammed Y. Safirulla also arrived at the CCRC to greet Dr Moni who arrived at the centre OP wing around 8 am and held discussions with him on the road ahead for the centre including constructing a new own building for the centre.

The special officer informed him that the landscaping works for CCRC have already started. Dr Moni, however, did not hold any meeting with the doctors or the staff at the centre. He is learnt to be chalking out his own plans for the expansion of the OP adding new services before the completion of the own building.
