Lucknow: A well in Sikandarpur in Hathras district that had been dry for past 30 years, was suddenly filled with water about a week ago.
As soon as the news of the ‘miracle’ spread, thousands of people started lining up for a bucket of the ‘magic’ water. Some local people got a pump set and are now sprinkling water from the well on the ‘devotees’.
Crowds are swelling by the day and this is also leading to accidents.
The local people claim that the water in the well has ‘magical’ properties that can cure diseases.
Scientists, however claim that water from some nearby sulphur spring underground has emerged in the well and since sulphur has curing properties, people believe it to be‘magical’.
