Nellore: Agriculture minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy on Saturday alleged that YSRC activists were submitting applications to delete between 100 and 150 names of voters in every village of Podalakur Mandal.
Reacting to allegations of YSR Congress leaders that TD is indulging in deletion of their voters, he said YSRC has submitted application to delete 180 TD voters at Pidurupalem in Manubolu mandal.
He was speaking to media persons after laying the foundation stone for a Rs 184 crore estimated scheme under water grid programme to supply water from Kandaleru reservoir to every house in 210 villages located in Manubolu, Venkatachalam and Podalakur mandals.
Stressing that majority of the applications for deletion of voters are coming from YSR Congress leaders, he underlined the need to invoke Election Commission direction to book cases against those submitting applications in bulk to remove the voters.
