KT Rama Rao asks DGP to take action against PEBL City developers

Mr Deevakar told this newspaper: The post-mortem report says Monish died due to cardiorespiratory arrest due to electric shock.

Hyderabad: PBEL City developers are in a soup after K. Deevakar, the father of the six-year-old who was electrocuted while playing inside the gated community on February 14, complained to TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao who in turn has asked Director General of Police M. Mahendar Reddy to fast-track the investigation.

Mr Deevakar told this newspaper: “The post-mortem report says Monish died due to cardiorespiratory arrest due to electric shock. The report clearly mentions that Monish was electrocuted. The Narsingi police earlier received a report from the electricity department which indicated that live wires were tapped into from the main power supply. The two reports indicate the negligence of Goldenstar facilities and provider and PBEL City promoters INCOR.”

The aggrieved family demands that the licence of Goldenstar facilities and provider should be cancelled as they lost their kid due to negligence.

“There are a lot of electric poles that still lie exposed. It was a disaster waiting to happen. I demand prosecution of the promoters and the maintenance company,” Mr Deevakar said.

The incident was captured in CCTV cameras installed in the residential area, where Monish was seen unattended for three to five minutes.

The residents noticed Monish lying on the ground and shifted him to a room to provide first-aid, but it was too late. The Narsingi police has booked a case under Sections 336, 337 338 and 304A of IPC against the builders, Goldenstar and the residents’ welfare association. A Narsingi police official said: “A team has visited the crime scene and registered a case.”
