According to the police, Sudheer, hailing from Medak district, joined as a driver with Car Brands garage around six months ago.
HYDERABAD: A driver, who had been working in a car workshop, died due to electric shock in the garage at Madhapur on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Lunavath Sudheer, 26. “He was trying to repair a faulty cable, when the mishap occurred,” police said.
According to the police, Sudheer, hailing from Medak district, joined as a driver with Car Brands garage around six months ago. He and his wife L Kavitha were living in a rented house at Gajularamaram village.
On Friday morning, at the garage, there was a power supply disruption and Sudhir found a loose cable hanging from one of the poles. He climbed the pole and tried to connect it to the main line and in the process received an electric shock and fell down. Police said that as he fell down from the top of the pole, he received severe injuries on the head and died on the spot. Based on a complaint from his wife Kavitha, a suspicious death case has been registered and the body was handed over to the family, after an autopsy.
