K Chandrasekhar Rao takes Hyderabad water to Medak
Mr Rao has set April 30 deadline to provide tap water to all households in the nine Assembly constituencies.
Hyderabad: Godavari water being supplied to the city from the Yellampally barrage is all set to be diverted to the Water Grid project to meet Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s deadline to supply drinking water to his home district Medak.
Mr Rao has set April 30 deadline to provide tap water to all households in the nine Assembly constituencies as part of the implementation of the first phase of the Water Grid.
Incidentally, two of these nine constituencies include the CM’s constituency Gajwel and irrigation minister T. Harish Rao’s constituency Siddipet in Medak district. However, with Godavari drying up, there is no scope of providing tap water through the Water Grid.
