Rajahmundry: Political parties told to fight for justice
Rajahmundry: Former MP Vundavalli Aruna Kumar on Saturday called upon members of political parties to commit themselves to fight against the injustice being meted out to Andhra Ptadesh, He told them that the general election for Parliament due within months would be the ideal time to do it.
Speaking to newsmen here, the former MP regretted the way some of the political parties from AP failed to represent the probles being faced by the state in Parliament.
They could not highlight the manner in which the erstwhile AP was bifurcated to form a separate Telangana state in 2014.
He said that if the political parties raised such issue in the Parliament, the whole nation could have realized the undemocratic manner of division of the state. However, he made a fervent appeal to all the major political parties to resolve to fight against the injustice being meted out to the state in the upcoming Parliament after the elections so that the Centre could feel the pressure and make effort to provide justice to the state by implementing the provisions incorporated in AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 and also assurances made by the then Congress government on the floor of Rajya Sabha.
