No funds to Andhra Pradesh due to TD, says Jagan Mohan Reddy

Reddy recalled, On the days when our party MLAs attended the Assembly wearing black shirts.

Vijayawada: YSR Congress president and opposition leader Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged that due to the ineffectiveness of Chief Minister Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu there were no funds for the State in the present Union Budget. “For the past four years, two Telugu Desam leaders were in the Cabinet but failed to get any funds for the State. Before resigning both the ministers along with Mr Naidu had praised the Central Government instead of opposing. TD had hailed the Modi Government even though it had released just Rs 1 lakh for the Visakhapatnam Metro and not even a single rupee for the Polavaram project. The parties that deceived the State will surely be taught a lesson,” Mr Reddy said.

Mr Reddy recalled, “On the days when our party MLAs attended the Assembly wearing black shirts, the TD thanked the BJP led Central Government for giving a special package to AP as against the SCS. The TD did not give a chance to our members to speak in the Assembly for even 30 seconds!”

Mr Reddy further said that this situation had arisen because the Mr Naidu had surrendered to the Centre fearing prosecution in the cash-for-vote case. He alleged that the Centre and the State Governments had done PhD in cheating people and lamented that degrading politics was a new trend in the present situation. He reiterated that Mr Naidu himself had agreed for Special Package instead of Special Category Status.and had issued Privilege Notices if the Opposition stood for SCS which was very sad and reflected the opportunistic politics of TD.
