The National Majdoor Union on Monday issued a notice threatening to go on strike after February 16 if its nine demands are not met. The notice was served on RTC joint managing director G.V. Ramana Rao, NMU leader M. Nageshwar Rao said the demands included grade pay to all workers on par with supervisors and other officials.
The union demanded cancellation of hire buses and ticket issuing machines, recruitment of conductors and garage personnel, '5 lakh life insurance for drivers.
