Power staff thrilled by salary increase
Hyderabad: A festive atmosphere prevailed at the Vidyut Soudha, the headquarters of TS Genco and TS Transco, on Tuesday after Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced a special increment for employees of the power utilities enabling the decision on 24-hour power supply to the farm sector.
Employees of power utilities gathered in large number at Vidyut Soudha and distributed sweets. They met the chairman and MD of TS Transco & TS Genco D. Prabhakar Rao and thanked him for helping them get a special increment.
Addressing the employees, Mr Prabhakar Rao said that ensuring 24-hour power supply to the farm sector was a big challenge which could be achieved only because of encouragement and directions given by the Chief Minister KCR. He asked the staff to work diligently now that the government had given them even more incentives.
He said employees and officers must coordinate and attend to even small disruption in power supply and resolve the glitch fast, adding that all of them need to be alert 24x7 to be able to supply 24-hour power to the farm sector.
