BENGALURU: An FIR has been registered against the Kadugodi Corporator Muniswamy of the Bharatiya Janata Party for allegedly assaulting and using abusive language against a woman in Kadugodi police station limits on Tuesday.
The Corporator and his supporters protested police action and held a protest outside the police station.
Last Wednesday Kadugodi Corporator Muniswamy had gone to Sidharthanagar after he came to know that a few people were constructing a shed on a government land. He told them to vacate the land and he got into a quarrel with a woman. After the incident the woman filed an FIR against the corporator alleging that he had abused and attempted to assault her. The Corporator denied the allegations and said that he received information that few people had encroached a government land and he had told them to vacate. He did not abuse or assault anyone.
The corporator said that the public was present when the alleged altercation took place.
He said that he will continue to protest until the woman takes back the FIR against him. The Kadugodi police have registered a case and are investigating.
