Chandrababu Naidu blaming Centre on Polavaram farcical: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
Kurnool: YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy lashed out at AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for spreading canards over Polavaram Issue. "Naidu is trying to throw blame on Centre for not allowing him to float tenders on Polavaram. When the Centre questions his corrupt practices, he is resorting to all sorts of name calling," the AP Opposition leader said at a public meeting in Pattikonda on Friday evening as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra.
Assailing Naidu for ruining the state, Jagan said that there is no law and order in the state and people are being taken for a ride. "Naidu was encouraging defections and buying MLAs and MPs by spending crores of rupees. Naidu offering Each MLA an amount of Rs 30 to Rs 40 crores," Jagan alleged.
Earlier, Juttur village farmers met Mr Reddy and submitted a memorandum regarding non-completion of Pilla Kaluva (tributary canal) which originates at the Kottapalli-Pandikona reservoir. Farmers urged that the canal should be extended to the villages of Juttur, and Atakaligundu to provide irrigation water to the three villages. Close to 5000 acres can be brought under cultivation, they said in an interactive session with Opposition leader.
