Vijayawada: The AP Cabinet has recommended five per cent reservation for the Kapu community. Kapu, Telaga, Balija and Ontari sub-castes are also to get five per cent reservations.
Since the new reservation quota crosses the 50 per cent mandated limit, it will have to be approved by the Union Government.
The Cabinet has also been directed to prepare a draft for providing unemployment allowance to educated unemployed youth.
This proposal will be placed before the House on Saturday and discussed to elicit the opinion of the House before any legislation is drafted.
