Tirupati: Chandragiri YSRC MLA Dr Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy inaugurated a week-long helicopter joyride event in Tirupati on Wednesday. Aero Don Chopper Private Limited, a Chennai-based company, is offering the joyrides to both Tirupati residents and pilgrims visiting Tirumala.
After the inaugural joyride at Thummalagunta grounds near Tirupati, MLA Bhaskar said that the helicopter rides will boost tourism in the temple city. He informed that the rides, which began today, will continue until November 7 as part of a special tourism campaign.
Dr S. Shankar, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board member and chairman of Aero Don Chopper Private Limited's advisory board, informed that the company's helicopters will also be used to offer air ambulance services in Tirupati at a reasonable cost. Aero Don managing director Selva Kumar and others were present.
