Rs 400 crore sought for Yadadri works

He said that they are many critical works, which need to be completed before the inauguration. For this, Rs 400 crore are required.

Hyderabad: The Yadadri Temple Development Authority has requested the government to release Rs 400 crore in the current financial year to complete the critical works.

In a report to the state government, G Kishan Rao, vice-chairman and chief executive officer of the authority, said that main temple works are in the final stage and the temple will be inaugurated in March 2018, coinciding with Bramhotsavalu.

He said that they are many critical works, which need to be completed before the inauguration. For this, Rs 400 crore are required.

He further said, “It is a time-bound project and cannot be delayed. Non-critical works can be taken up after the inauguration.”

He added that the government had allocated Rs 100 crore for the temple development and released Rs 75 crore in the current financial year. He asked the government to release the remaining sum of Rs 25 crore to clear the pending bills.
