Gurgaon: Father of Pradyuman Thakur, the seven-year-old who was murdered in Ryan International School at Bhondsi in Gurgaon last month, expressed dissatisfaction over the appointment of the suspended principal as a teacher in another branch of the institution
Neerja Batra, who was officiating as Ryan school's principal in Bhondsi branch and also an in-charge of the school, was suspended for negligence in delivering her duties. She has been working with the Ryan school for approximately 20 years.
She has, however, joined Gurgaon Sector-40 branch of the school as a teacher.
Angry father, Varun Thakur said, "How can you reinstate the principal who failed to fulfil her responsibility? What is the meaning of suspension then?"
Varun also said that Batra's appointment to a school is a risk to security and safety of student.
"How can you expect her (Neerja Batra) to fulfil responsibilities as a teacher. It's a risk to security and safety of students," he said.
The body of class 2 student Pradyuman, with his throat slit, was found lying in a pool of blood in the toilet of the school on September 8.
