Hyderabad: The minorities’ welfare department has sanctioned Rs 50 lakh for renovation and repair of Aza-khana-e-Zohra at Darulshifa. Another Rs 4.50 lakh has been sanctioned for the ‘Nal-e-Mubarak’ ashoorkhana located at Pathergatti.
The Aza-Khana-e-Zohra is in a bad condition with water leaking from the tin shed. Deccan Chronicle on September 25 had highlighted the problem and the failure of the minorities welfare department in releasing the funds. AIMIM former MLC Altaf Hyder Rizvi took up the issue with Deputy CM Mohammed Mahmood Ali but the grants were not released.
