Warangal: Demanding the state government declare Jangaon a district, women played Bathukamma on the Waragal-Hyderabad highway on Saturday.
Jangaon JAC leaders said they would further intensify the agitation in the coming days. Elsewhere, a team of JAC members met leaders of all political parties in Hyderabad.
JAC chairman A. Dashmanth Reddy demanded MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy to resign and join the people to fight for the cause. He declared that the JAC would conduct peace rally and submit an appeal to a Gandhi statue on Sunday.
On Monday, rallies will be held by all sections of the society; on Tuesday they would submit appeals to statues of B.R. Ambedkar and on Wednesday, they will begin mass hunger strikes, Mr Dashmanth Reddy said.
