Ganeshas with Modi, Shah, Abhinandan, a big draw

Revanna has come up with 500 eco-friendly Ganeshas working with his wife Bharathi, mother Ningamma, children Padmasri and Reshmasri.

Mysuru: A city-based 47-year-old artist, Revanna, who is known for coming up with eco-friendly Ganesha statues using clay and natural colours, has come up with Ganesha statues and statues of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and CM B.S. Yediyurappa for this year's Ganesh Chathurthi.

He has also created a statue of badminton player P.V. Sindhu who had won the gold medal at the 2019 world championship and Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman who was conferred the Vir Chakra for his brave acts during the Balakot attack.

He has also not forgotten to remember senior BJP leaders Mr Arun Jaitley, Ms Sushma Swaraj and Mr Ananth Kumar who died recently and has come up with their statues. Revanna, a resident of Kumbargeri has worked on these special concepts by burning the midnight oil in the past one week.

He has come up with 500 eco-friendly Ganeshas working with his wife Bharathi, mother Ningamma, children Padmasri and Reshmasri.

Son of late Dasappa and Ningamma, who were potters by profession, Revanna has inherited the art of pottery from his parents. He has even done his BFA in Painting and Sculpture from CAVA.
