TRS government neglecting students, says SFI
Hyderabad: The Student Federation of India (SFI) has condemned the TRS’ forthcoming Pragati Nivedhana Sabha and asked what the state government has done in these four and half years for students who had fought vigorously for the formation of Telangana.
The TRS government did not even release the budget for scholarships and fee reimbursement, it said.
SFI state president M. Tirupati Rao said, “This meeting is being boycotted by the Students Federation. Students in many colleges are suffering as they haven’t received their scholarships and certificates are being withheld by the management. Where is the KG to PG that the government promised? How long do we have to wait for its implementation? This is not the reason we voted for this government. We are disappointed with the kind of negligence that student issues are facing.”
The student union stated that the students would give a fitting reply to the TRS in the coming elections as students were the ones who got cheated with false promises.
