Congress vows to probe Telangana Rashtra Samithi corruption

The TRS was spending about Rs 300 crore on the meeting and paying Rs 500 to each of those attending it, he alleged.

Hyderabad: TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that after coming to power the Congress would investigate corruption in the TRS government. Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, he said that in the name of Pragathi Nivedana Sabha Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was exhibiting the wealth. The TRS was spending about Rs 300 crore on the meeting and paying Rs 500 to each of those attending it, he alleged.

Mr Reddy said leaders of the National Student Union of India, a Congress frontal organisation, will be nominated for the Assembly elections. Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of Telangana state NSUI president B. Venkat at Gandhi Bhavan, he said that the student wing should see to it the people vote for the Congress.

He said Mr Chandrasekhar Rao had the money to pay contractors but had no money to reimburse the fee of students. He said that after coming to power the Congress would pay the reimbursement. He said the main aim of the Congress government would be to provide jobs to the unemployed; if jobs are not provided they will be paid unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 per month.
