No holy dip in Krishna after 6 pm in Srisailam

A meeting was held with district level officials of endowment of Kurnool district at Srisailam on Monday.

Anantapur: Devotees will not be permitted to take a holy dip after 6 pm at Patalaganga in Srisailam in Kurnool district during all the days of Krishna Pushkaralu, said Srisailam Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bramarambhika temple executive officer Narayana Bharath Guptha. A meeting was held with district level officials of endowment of Kurnool district at Srisailam on Monday.

Reviewing the preparatory arrangements for the Krishna Pushkaralu at Srisailam and surrounding areas, the executive officer said senior officials would be deputed at all sensitive locations including parking and bathing ghats to maintain traffic and huge number of devotees expected to visit Srisailam on all the holy days of Pushkaralu. “Devotees will be allowed for a holy dip till 6 pm every day afterwards nobody will be permitted, to avoid untoward incidents at Patalaganga area,” the executive officer said.

Mr Guptha had also directed the authorities to keep ambulances at Lingalagattu and Patal-aganga to meet any emergency “LED screens would be kept at important and busy locations in and surrounding temple town,” the executive officer briefed and further added water proof tents would be set up at bathing ghats, parking places and important areas for the staff on duty. The Srisailam Temple authorities would take all necessary measures to host huge crowds of devotees, EO said. Assistant commissioner Maheswar Reddy, Executive Engineer Rami Reddy and others participated in the meeting.
