Curfew, restrictions continue in Kashmir valley for 25th day
Srinagar: Srinagar: In Jammu and Kashmir, the curfew will continue in Anantnag town while restrictions under Section 144 will remain in force in Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian districts on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar said that restrictions will continue in all areas under five old city police stations and areas under Batmaloo police station of uptown Srinagar.
The restrictions under Section 144 will also remain in force in Ganderbal and other central Kashmir areas.
Meanwhile, the J&K High Court’s Division Bench of Chief Justice, N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar have questioned CRPF’s claims that only trained personnel were using the pellet guns.
Hearing a PIL, the Court asked the State government to take a conscious decision on the use of pellet guns in Kashmir.
