BSF jawan laid to rest with full state honours in Karnataka
Hubballi: Twenty-four year old jawan, Hasansaab Kudhavand, who was martyred in a bomb blast in Jammu, was laid to rest with full state honours in his native village of Saidapur in Navalgund taluk near here on Monday. He was serving in the Border Security Force (BSF) for the last five years.
The mortal remains of the soldier arrived in the village only on Monday. “My son was a brave soldier and was more interested in sports activities. He had joined the military as many of his friends are in the Indian Army. He had promised us that he will return to the village to take part in Moharram,” his father Imamsaab said.
Hasansaab is survived by his parents and a younger brother. District in-charge minister Vinay Kulkarni and local legislator N.H. Konareddy paid last respects to the departed soldier and visited the village.
