POLLACHI: The CBI has once again started investigations with the parents of Thirunavukarasu, alleged offender in the Pollachi sex scam.
Sources said, Thirunavukarasu and his associates were arrested by Pollachi east wing taluk police following a complaint by a college girl a few months ago about sexual abuse and robbing her jewels. The sensitive case was initially investigated by the CBCID police.
The gang had sexually harassed many young school and college girls and uploaded their lewd act on social media.
Following series of protests, the case was transferred to the CBI. Sleuths of the CBI have already held investigations involving the parents of Thirunavukarasu, the alleged gang leader.
Again this Monday morning, the CBI questioned Thirunavukarasu’s parents for over an hour, said the source.
