Hyderabad: Agriculture secretary attends High Court on input default
Hyderabad: Acting swiftly on the query of the High Court, the state government on Monday submitted details pertaining to the sanction of Rs 12 crores which was to be sanctioned in 2018 to the 28,000 farmers hailing from Adilabad, towards input subsidy.
After being summoned to appear before the court, Mr. Parthasaradhi, principal secretary for agriculture, appeared before the Division Bench headed by Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice Shameem Akhter and furnished the details of chequ-es and the amount sanctioned.
Last week, the Bench had summoned the principal secretary to appear in person along with information pertaining to the sanction of input subsidy to the 28,000 farmers hailing from Adilabad district whose crop was damaged due to heavy rains in August 2018.
The court had expressed its ire for delaying the process of the file pertaining to the sanction of the input subsidy to the farmers for the last 11months when the farmers were in dire need of the money to eke out their livelihood.
