Telangana: No information yet about missing housewife, her two sons
Hyderabad: The mystery behind a 27-year-old housewife and her two sons who went missing a week ago still continues.
K. Lavanya Reddy, a resident of Moinabad, went missing from home on June 24 evening. She left a note stating that she was not able to bear the harassment of her husband. Initially a missing case was registered and later charges of harassment were also added. The Shamshabad DCP has deployed special teams to trace the mother and kids.
Kaudampally Lavanya Reddy was married to Main Reddy and has two kids Ashrith Reddy and Aswin Reddy. Lavanya was a housewife and Main Reddy an egg trader. On June 24 evening she and her kids left home. Later at night her husband Main Reddy found a note in the diary believed to have been written by her.
Lavanya said in the note that she was not able to bear the harassment of Main Reddy anymore and told him to marry a woman of his choice to get more money. A missing case and a harassment case were registered in Moinabad police station. Her family said that despite giving a good dowry Main had been harassing her for minor reasons.
“This increased after our father who was a GHMC employee retired a year ago. He demanded a share of his retirement benefits and used to abuse her physically,” her elder brother Jangareddy said. Lavanya’s family approached Shamshabad DCP P.V. Padmaja seeking her help to trace her and the kids.
“Our teams are searching for the mother and sons,” inspector G. Srinivas said.
