Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a mother of three kids branded one her children with a heated onion for having food without her permission. The incident happened in Vikarabad district.
The Balala Hakkula Sangham demanded that the government should take custody of the kids and shift them to Shishuvihar immediately. Sources said the woman identified as Lakshmi alias Sofia got married to her uncle a decade ago, but as she did not like him, she left him and was living with her parents.
While she was working as a construction worker in Kodangal she fell in love with her supervisor Javeed and married him. The couple had three children.
Javed who was already married before marrying Sofia, married another woman also due to which she was staying away from him.
She along with her three kids were staying in a rented house in Tandur town.
As she was working, she left the three kids at home. Her elder daughter, 7, was going to an anganwadi centre and was also taking care of her younger brother, 3, and sister, 1.
Sofia became angry as the kids were eating the food completely and she did not have anything to eat when she returned home.
Angered over her elder daughter not keeping any food for her she heated up an onion and branded her with it on the cheeks. The child suffered severe burns. She was admitted to hospital and is out of danger now.
