Telangana Transport Minister to interlink 2,000 pollution centres

The minister appealed to motorists to cooperate with the government and help curb vehicular pollution.

Hyderabad: Telangana Transport Minister P. Mahender Reddy said 2000-odd vehicle pollution testing centres and mobile units across the State would soon be upgraded with latest pollution-checking equipment.

Also, all testing units in the State would be connected to central servers of the transport department and the police. A copy of the Pollution Under Check Certificate (PUC) issued will have to be uploaded by these Centres.

The minister appealed to motorists to cooperate with the government and help curb vehicular pollution. He asked officials to complete the process by the month’s end.
