Call off stir, Acting Chief Justice to lawyers

He appealed to all subordinate judicial officers and judicial employees in Telangana state to withdraw their agitation.

Hyderabad: Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale of the Hyderabad High Court on Friday appealed to all subordinate judicial officers and judicial employees in Telangana state to withdraw their agitation and start functioning immediately in the larger interests of the litigant public, and particularly of the state.

In a release issued by the Registrar General of the High Court, the Acting Chief Justice said that if this does not happen, the High Court, in the larger interest of the litigant public of both TS and AP, who look to the judiciary hoping for timely justice, may have to consider other options to ensure that they do not suffer.

The High Court also appealed to advocates at large to withdraw their strike and start attending courts leaving it to the High Court to deal with issues-demands in accordance with law and as per due procedure.

Earlier in the day, as many as 10,000 advocates from across TS participated in the maha dharna, demanding the Centre appoint an advisory committee to frame guidelines for bifurcation of subordinate judicial officers between AP and TS.
