‘Victory’ song embarrasses ex-MP
The clip is a parody dialogue from blockbuster Bahubali, taking a dig at his Congress party rival and eulogising him and his CPM.

Thiruvananthapuram: CPM’s M. B. Rajesh, who lost to V. K. Sreekandan in Palakkad, is embarrassed by the leak of an audio clip of a song he had prepared in anticipation of victory.
The clip is a parody dialogue from blockbuster Bahubali, taking a dig at his Congress party rival and eulogising him and his CPM.
Over the last two days, social media has been agog with the leaked audio clip which is believed to have been recorded before the counting of votes on May 23. Cutting across political parties, the expectation was that the two-time lawmaker would do a hat-trick in Palakkad hands down.
But the underdog turned out to be a dark horse and defeated Mr Rajesh by over 11, 000 votes, and now the audio clip is doing the rounds on the social media.
C. K. Rajendran, CPM Palakkad district secretary, said his party had no role in the jubilation song.
“I am resting at home after an accident where I have not heard the audio clip. Most probably it would have been created by some party workers,” he told DC. A lady singer has sung the song.
