Kottayam: The prosecution on Saturday examined officials of mobile service providers Idea and Jio as part of the trial in the Kevin murder case at the Principal Sessions Court here.
Surya Surendran, the nodal officer of Idea Cellular, said that as per the tower location of the phone of Niyas, the second accused in the case, he was near the house of Anish at Mannanam on May 26 last year.
The tower location of Shanu, the 12th accused, was traced to Kottayam MCH around 1.30 am on May 27.
Aji Shankar of Jio Kerala Circle said the mobile phone of seventh accused Shiffin Sajad was at Kallar near Chaliakara which is the place of occurrence of the crime.
The officials also said that ninth accused Tittu Jerome used the SIM card of Prince Clement, who is also a witness in the case. The trial will resume on Monday.
