Formation Day: Telangana government to fill 25,000 vacancies

Mr Rao, who will address the public from the Parade Grounds on Saturday, will announce key decisions on jobs for youth.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will complete four years in office on June 2. His party, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti aims to retain power in 2019 on the back of populist schemes initiated by Mr Rao.

While power, irrigation, drinking water and agriculture were the prime focus areas in the last four years, unemployed youth and employment generally will be the focus in the election year.

The government will issue a series of recruitment notifications to fulfill the 2014 poll promise of providing one lakh government jobs.

The state government has readied notifications to fill over 25,000 posts in June to mark State Formation Day.

Mr Rao, who will address the public from the Parade Grounds on Saturday, will announce key decisions on jobs for youth.

TRS sources said the CM is expected to announce creation of 50,000 jobs which will be filled within six months.
