Telangana and AP Rajya Sabha candidates' nominations found valid

The four candidates from AP and two from TS will be declared elected to the Rajya Sabha for a six year-term on June 3.

Hyderabad: Returning Officers for the Rajya Sabha elections from both Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday found all the nominations valid.

At the mandatory scrutiny of the nominations, it was found that nominations filed by Union ministers Suresh Prabhu (BJP) and Sujana Chowdary, former minister T.G. Venkatesh (TD) and V. Vijay Sai Reddy (YSR Congress) from AP, and former ministers Dharmapuri Srinivas and Capt V. Laxmikantha Rao (TRS) were valid.

The four candidates from AP and two from TS will be declared elected to the Rajya Sabha for a six year-term on June 3, the last day for withdrawal of nominations.
