PM slams Congress, says its history is about 'appeasing terror and terrorists'

Bengaluru: In a scatching attack on the Congress party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday alleged that Congress party supports ‘terror’ and ‘terrorism’. He recalled that a Congress leader broke down over killing of a terrorist in Batla House attack in Delhi. Along with Congress, Modi also alleged that Janata Dal Secular (JDS), a major regional party in Karnataka, of supporting ‘terror.’

Delivering a speech during his election campaign in Chitradurga, Modi stated that by banning Popular Front of India (PFI), BJP broke the back of terror activities and said that safety of Karnataka is of utmost importance to BJP. By supporting terror, Modi said both JDS and Congress party cannot bring in investments for the State and provide jobs for the youths.

The PM said Congress party is never a match to BJP in development and stated that just after the expiry of warranty of a product, a company does not take responsibility, even, the Congress party warranty is over and voters have lost faith in the party.

The track record of Congress party, Modi said are ‘lies’ and pointed out that Congress party gave assurances to the people of Gujarat in 2012 to construct houses and displayed model houses and amassed money from the voters. Modi was sure that similar ‘lies’ have been made to voters in Karnataka as well through issue of guarantee cards and questioned “Is there any corruption here?”

Now, there are no workers for the Congress party in Gujarat and outsiders are made to carry flags of the Congress party in Gujarat, Modi said and called upon the people of the country to end era of corruption and take the country ‘Vikasith Bharath’ ( a developed India) when the country celebrates its 100th year of Independence.

In his speech, Modi appreciated BJP’s manifesto for Karnataka Assembly elections to take the State to number 1 position in the country and claimed that the manifesto of the BJP is a ‘blue print for infrastructure development, women empowerment with a resolution of ‘Sab Ka Vikas’ (Development of all).
