Vemulawada: Heated discussions are being witnessed in Vemulawada town after Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagat announced that Marri Srinivas Reddy may have links with some people in Vemulawada.
Marri Srinivas Reddy, a resident of Hajipur village of Yadradri Bhongiri district, was the main culprit nabbed for three murders which created a sensation in the state.
Residents in Vemulawada, recollected how Marri Srinivas Reddy would visit the town frequently along with girls.
The Rachakonda police declared that the missing case of Manisha was lodged when Maha Shivaratri was celebrated.
Vemulawada police are checking the footage of the CCTV cameras that were installed at various places in the town and are tracing his movements, along with collecting details of persons who have criminal record.
Ten days ago, police found the body of an unidentified woman, 35, under suspicious conditions in Agraharam hills of Vemulawada. After investigation it was learnt that the woman was sexually assaulted and killed. Police suspect that the murder might have also been committed by Marri Srinivas Reddy.
Even after ten days, details of the dead woman could not be obtained. Police have not received any complaint of a missing woman from the surrounding areas of Vemulawada town. Police suspect that the woman might be from some other place.
