Vijayawada: Guntur MP Galla Jayadev expressed suspicion over the functioning of the CCTV cameras at the strongrooms where EVMs were preserved. He along with Telugu Desam leaders visited Acharya Nagarjuna University to check the security arrangements at the strongrooms. He lamented that CCTV cameras frequently stopping at the strongrooms and expressed suspicion that this will give a chance to change the EVMs. He lamented that several times the CCTV cameras stopped functioning and TD has taken the issue to the notice of EC officials. He sought the EC to take necessary measures for the continuous functioning of CCTV cameras at the strongrooms.
Mr Jayadev alleged that EC is showing bias in implementation of the election code. He claimed that AP people are facing difficulties for drinking water and resolve of other issues hence reviews by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is must but sadly the EC is objecting to the reviews. He said that EC is giving relaxation of election code to face Fani cyclone hence the exemption should be given to AP State as Fani cyclone is going to hit north Andhra region of the State.
