K T Rama Rao blames TD and Congress for the destruction of agriculture market yard

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Monday accused Telugu Desam and Congress leaders for the destruction of agriculture market yard in Khammam. “In the garb of farmers, TD and Congress leaders ransacked the market. They are trying to create a wedge between farmers and the farmer-friendly Telangana government,” he alleged.

KTR, who is in New Delhi, told media persons that the two parties were hatching a conspiracy to unleash violence everywhere. Khammam incident is a proof. “These leaders are not able to accept and digest the good rapport between farmers and the government. Telangana government always stands by farmers. Power hungry Congress leaders are indulging in cheap antics,” he alleged.

Meanwhile, Telangana government which has initiated action against those indulging in vandalism in Khammam Market yard, asked agriculture officers to ensure purchase of chillis from farmers. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao discussed with Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Marketing Minister T Harish Rao, Agriculture officers on the status of Chillis in markets and asked them to see that farmers are not put to loss.
